What is Hip Osteoarthritis?

The leg and pelvic bones join to form the hip joint. The hip joint is very important because it stabilizes, balances, and moves the trunk and lower body. Hip osteoarthritis is inflammation of the hip joint. Wear and tear of cartilage with age is the main cause of hip osteoarthritis. An injury, obesity, and genetics may also be causes and contributing factors.
